Physics is basically the study of matter and energy which can be categorized into:

• Mechanics – study of motion.
• Dynamics – study of causes of motion.
• Thermo-Dynamic – heat behaviors, waves, sound, light, optics and
• Modern Physics – nuclear physics, relativity, astrophysics etc.

It is a branch of science which explores into how things work and why. The main pre-requisite to take up Physics after Year 10 will be to have an excellent knowledge of Mathematics. If Physics is the science of how things work, then algorithms are associated with it. In addition to this Physics is the natural science that studies matter its motion and behavior through space and time.

Physics generates fundamental knowledge needed for the future technological advances that will confirm to drive the economic engines of the world.
