Industrial Arts provides students with knowledge, understanding, skills and attitudes necessary for managing their own lives, for further and higher education and work. Industrial Arts Technology Education under the umbrella of Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is the way forward in the 21st century. It is envisaged that one of the solutions to alleviating poverty and other social vices in society is skills development in Industrial Arts technology and entrepreneurship. This will provide students with an education system that is holistic, inclusive, responsive, empowering, resilient and sustainable which will enable them to tackle the rapid changes and challenges of the globalization era. The learning experience in Industrial Arts develop flexibility and adaptability in students , preparing them to live in a consumer – oriented society and provide a learning foundation for a wide range of careers given below.
It also develops school leavers to become Job Creators rather than Job Seekers.
We believe it is important for individuals to be empowered to make healthy choices and take responsibility for their own health and well-being.
The Industrial Arts Department is well resourced in terms of textbooks, resource materials and teaching aids to provide best opportunities to our students and look forward to their bright future is also given below.
