"Never spend your money before you have earned it."
Thomas Jefferson
In the Commerce department we want our students to develop an enthusiasm and understanding of the economy and its impacts. We try to foster a spirit of enquiry and a critical approach to thinking about current issues. We encourage enterprise and risk taking.
We have a wide range of resources available to achieve this aim. Students are able to enter essay writing contests, participate in quizzes, presentations, model making competitions at school level during commerce week.We also have dynamic and hard working teachers in the department who always ensures to broaden student engagement and challenge.
Lessons are well resourced and we pride ourselves in high levels of organisation and support for pupils at all levels. Students are provided with department developed lesson notes. A large number of pupils continue to study Accounting and Economics at degree level.
